Old recordings

After being lost for many years after everyone threw out their old cassette tapes, some ingenious audio archaeology has resurrected some of the early Critical Error music
Old recordings

The very first 3 song Critical Error demo seems to be lost to the mists of time. Unless you know better?

The second 4 song demo was recorded in the Spring of 1987 and has been recently rediscovered by Paul Bateman (see the bio for more details). The songs are available on a SoundCloud playlist.

A little later, Critical Error recorded a whole album. Aided and abetted by some of the finest Exeter musicians, seven new tracks were recorded. These are available on SoundCloud on a Wud Records playlist (which also includes three tracks from a live recording and the first demo). The Wud Records site / SoundCloud sites are well worth a visit for the collected photos and lyrics.

If you like this album, head on over to Bandcamp and you can buy a copy for posterity. The last time this material was released, we earned enough to keep the band in onion rings at The Double Locks for a whole afternoon. Go on - make us rich (yes - all this music for just £6)!!!!
